This contest will start a few days, maybe a week after the "Bridal Photo" contest
Idea: You know sometimes when you listen to a song, maybe a sad one, you try to picture those "words" that are being said, my example "Concrete Angel" ~ By Martina McBride
Picture this:
"A statue stands in a shaded place
An angel girl with an upturned face
A name is written on a polished rock
A broken heart that the world forgot"
Really get that image into your mind, so you can actually see that stoned statue standing all by itself, on one of those polished description boxes.
Do you kind of get what I'm saying?
The goal is to make a comic using the lyrics of a song and creating an image of it.
You can do a full song, or part of a song that maybe stands out more.
The contest is pretty much the goal, to create a comic based on the lyrics.
Guidelines:
1.You cannot do songs with sexual or violent meanings. If you only listen to punk or metal, then find a song you like that doesn't have that content.
2.You are limited to doing 3 songs. Each one needs to be a different song.
3.You can do a picture that has part of a song, maybe the part that stands out most to you or whatever, or you can do a full song which might take more than a couple panels.
4. I am not looking for high quality work so don't be afraid to make one, I don't degrade any level of art.
5. It must be your own idea,and if you want to use fanart in your drawings, you may.
6. You are not limited to any number of panels or pages.
7. The style can be anything of your choice, manga, anime, your own style.
8. If you decide to do a song in another language, in your description you should provide a translation so that people can also understand it. ^^
If you are still confused about this please let me know, the contest doesn't start for a while so I'm giving you plenty of time to think.
