After seeing Prostreet, I thought this series was dead. This was the 1st NFS game I've skipped getting since Underground #1. I think simulation racing games are just plain boring, graphics don't matter to me, it's how much fun it is.
What we know so far: Next game might be having the cops again. So that's good to hear.
Need For Speed I think is one of the most sucessful racing games in history. Each has their own unique story, great customization, chicks, great selection of cars, and awesome cop chases! But this game can be even better.
What I want this game to be like besides cops is bringing back open world of course. Not having it in Prostreet was bull. Also I want this game to start playing like Burnout Paradise. That game is really fun! If NFS had that gameplay from Paradise, it would make the game almost perfect. What else, a more in depth customization, but maybe similar to Underground 2, that was by far the best customization of any NFS game. Perhaps this could be called NFS Most Wanted 2, sequel or not-sequel.
One more thing that will make this series rock is really good online. Any racing game can't seem to do well without online now, it adds so muh more replay time like Mario Kart. I've found that most NFS games have a low replay value after beating it. This should work like it is on XB Live. But perhaps this time, a be the cop mode. That would be awesome and funny chasing people.
That's all I'm going to say. This series needs a big boost after Prostreet. I have a good feeling NFS 08 will.
