How Taila met Tails pt.9

"How did you get here?!" Taila asked Maddie. "It wasnt that hard. I just followed a ship that was coming out of your village and it lead me here." Maddie replied. "So a ship did come through here?" Taila asked Maddie. "It looked suspicous, so I followed it and waited to see if I could stop anyone else that came along after it if they worked for the ship." Maddie told Taila. "But, if it came here, then where did it go?" asked Sonic. "It dissapeared through the side of the mountain." she said as she turned and pointed. Everyone looked but there was no sign that any ship had ever been there. "Well, first things first. What were you doing when you saw the ship?" asked Sonic. "I was on a mission. We were looking for Dr. Eggman when a mysterious signal apeared on the ship's radar. There were no known flights operating at the time, so I thought it was your ship, which made me more concerned, because the only reason that you would be after something is if it is life-threatening. The government agreed, so I decided to follow it." said Maddie. "You work for the government now?!?!" Taila asked in shock. "Oh, yea! I forgot to tell you, didnt I? I am a spy now!" Maddie replied. "Enough chit chat! We are on a REALLY IMPORANT MISSION RIGHT NOW!!!" yelled Knuckles. "So, how do we break into this secret fortress?" Amy asked Maddie. "Im not sure. I was hoping you would know." Maddie said. "Then we will have to set up a plan!" Sonic said confidently. Just then, the entrance to the fortress opened. Two robots had come out of the entrance and had spotted them. They stopped dead in their tracks. "They are here, Bocoe!" said the tall, thin robot. "What should we do, Decoe?" said the short, thick robot. "We have to tell Dr.Eggman immediatly!" said Decoe. Then, they ran back inside and Sonic shouted,"Quick, get in before it closes!". Everyone ran inside as the door closed behind them...
