How Taila met Tails pt.11

"Wow! Talk about a pack-rat!" said Knuckles, as everyone looked around at all the piles of junk stacked all over the room. "Come on! We have to rescue Tails!" said Sonic. He led the group as they moved through the room. The group went into the next room, but were surprised to see Eggman standing there. "Hello, Sonic." said Eggman. "TAKE US TO TAILS!!! shouted Sonic. "Now, now! Everyone just calm down." said Eggman. "I WILL CALM DOWN AS SOON AS YOU TAKE US TO TAILS!!! Sonic shouted again. "Alright, but remember that you wanted to see him." Eggman said casually. "Follow me." he said as he led them down a hallway. "Sonic, this is clearly a trap!" Taila whispered. "Yea! Are you really going to fall for it?!" whispered Maddie. Everyone looked at Sonic. "I dont care! I have to!" said Sonic. For Tails. "Ahh. Here we are!" said Eggman suddenly. He opened the door and an icey breeze washed over everyone. They looked into the room. In the middle room, there was a large container covered so thick in ice, that it just looked like a giant block. "What is that?" asked Amy. "Why dont you go and see for yourself." Eggman said as he smiled. Everyone went into the room. Suddenly, everyone jumped as the door behind them slammed shut. "HEY!!! WATS GOING ON?!?!" shouted Sonic. Suddenly, a gaint screen appeared on the ceiling. "Didnt you see it coming, or were you so blinded by your obsesion to keep your closest companion with you, that you were willing to risk anything, even the lives around you who wanted to help you retreive the only thing you care about." said Eggman, as the screen dissappeared back into the ceiling. Sonic looked down at the icey floor. It was true. Tails was the only thing Sonic cared about, aside from running. "Sonic, we have to get out of here before we all freeze!!! shouted Taila. "One of us is already half-way there." said Sonic in a dark tone. "What are you talking about?!?! All of us are fine!" said Maddie. "I think the cold is getting to him." said Amy. Sonic turned and looked at everyone. "DO YOU KNOW WHAT'S IN THERE?!?!" he shouted as he pointed to the block of ice in the middle of the room. "No, not really. Do you?" asked Taila. Everyone watched Sonic as he walked up to the container and put his hands on it. He looked down and said,"We have to break this open.". Everyone stared at Sonic in confusion. "NOW!!!!!" screamed Sonic as he whipped around to look at everyone. They ran up to the container and started attacking it. Knuckles punched it, Amy had pulled out a giant hammer and began smashing wildly at it, Maddie had extended her claws and began cutting at it, Taila used friction from her rapidly spinning tails to melt the ice, and Sonic punched and kicked it. After a little while, the ice had melted off of the container and a small body was visable inside it. Sonic gasped. "Who is that?" asked Maddie. "The whole reason we came here." Sonic said slowly. Amy came up to the container and knocked on the glass, but he didnt respond. "Is he ok?" she asked. "I dont know. We have to get him out of there!" said Sonic. He got on top of the container and looked around for some kind of way to open it. Suddenly, Knuckles swung at it and the whole container vibrated and Sonic fell off. "Knuckles!!! What was that for?!?!" shouted Sonic as he rubbed his head. "He did it!!!" shouted Taila. Sonic got up and walked around to the front of the container and he gasped. He did do it! He knelt down and picked up Tails' body and brought him out of the container. His body was cold. He looked down at Tails. "Tails. Tails, wake up." Sonic said in a very tender tone as he stroked his head, "Please, Tails, wake up.". "S-Sonic...do you think.....we are............too late?" said Maddie slowly. Suddenly, Sonic stopped dead in what he was doing. He stared at Tails. "NO, I.....I DONT BELEIVE IT!!!!!! I WONT BELEIVE IT!!!!!! TAILS!!!!!! NO!!!!!! I CANT LOSE YOU!!!!!! NOT NOW!!!!!!!" shouted Sonic. He hugged Tails tightly and cried onto his shoulder...
