How Taila met Tails pt.12

"Tails. Tails, wake up." said a farmiliar voice. He slowly woke up. He opened his eyes and was surrounded by pure, white light. Looking down at him was a beautiful, plant-like creature with her arms streched out to him. Tails gasped. "C-Cosmo!" he said, surprised. "Hello, Tails." she said as she smiled at him. She helped him up on his feet. "But, I dont understand......arent you....." "Yes, I am, but that doesnt mean that you are too." she said. He looked at her in confusion. "Its ok. You are not dead. You are just visiting until you can return to your body." she reasured him. "Return to my body?" Tails asked. "Yes." Cosmo said simply. "So where are we?" Tails said as he looked around. "We are in heaven." she replied. Tails looked at her in amazment. He couldnt beleive it! He was in heaven! "Wow." he said in a stunned tone. Cosmo sighed. "Its so beautiful, isnt it?" she said in a dreamy tone. ".....Yea....." said Tails. Cosmo looked at Tails. He caught her staring at him and he smiled at her, then she smiled at him. Cosmo walked up to Tails and grabbed his hand. Tails looked down at their hands. She sat down and Tails sat down next to her and she put her arm around him. "Wow! Tails, look!" said Cosmo exitedly. Tails looked at the sky and gasped. It had changed from a cloudy blanket-covered sky to an elegant sunset on the beach, with the ocean reflecting the colors of the sky. "Oh, its sooooo beautiful." said Cosmo as she put her head on Tails' shoulder. Tails put his arm around her and she hugged him. "Tails. Its time for you to go." she said as she looked up at him. "It is? ....But....why now." he said as he closed his eyes and looked away. "You dont have to." said Cosmo. "I dont?" asked Tails. "No, you dont, if you dont want to. Its up to you." she reasured him. "So I can choose if I want to go back to my body or not?" he asked. "Exactly! But please, go back down with all of your friends. Dont worry about me! I will be here until you are ready to stay here...with me. You have the rest of your life to live. Dont lose it all because of me." she said as she sat up straight. "Please, Tails. Go back down to earth. I will always be watching over you." she said as she stood up and held out her hand. Tails took it and stood up with her. "I will walk you to the gateway." she said as she smiled at him. Then, she started walking toward the water. He followed her in confusion. Suddenly, a water-made tunnel had formed going into the water. Cosmo smiled at Tails and grabbed his hand. She pulled him onward through the tunnel. They suddenly walked into a tropical, underwater coral reef, with clear blue waters, giant sea plants, and colorful fish. It looked like a scene straight from a dream. There was a path they were following, which lead to a coral-formed gate. All of the fish were gathered at the gate, awaiting their arrival. As they reached the gate, Cosmo turned to face Tails. She grabbed both of his hands. "I will miss you very much, but if you were to stay here, Sonic would miss you much, much, much more." she said. Then, as she slowly leaned in to kiss Tails, the gate opened and the moment they had touched lips, he was engulfed in white light. He felt himself becoming heavier and heavier as he fell lower and lower. Suddenly, he landed with a shock...
