How Taila met Tails pt.14

The mysterious female had Tails hostage in the huge, dark ice-room. He wondered about what she would do with him. He doubted that all she would do was hold him there. She had to have a motive behind her assult. Tails could feel her breathing down his neck, her warm breath gently washed over his nervousness, strangly making him calm. His mucsles relaxed and he felt himself sink. The female had apearently took notice of this and grabbed him. She struggled to pull him back up. "What happened to ya? A second ago your fine, and now your a pile of jell-o!" she said to him as she sat him up. "Oh, sorry!" he said, at a loss for words. "Well, pay attention!" she said, once again wrapping her arm around his neck. "Why are you doing this?" asked Tails. "You don't need to know, sweety." she tried to reasure him. "But I do need to know if it is about me!" Tails said, whining slightly. She chuckled, then she gave him a kiss on the cheek. He was so taken aback by this that it stunned him, like an electified zap. She took the opportunity and wrapped both of her arms around him. Then, he was picked up and, dispite the fact that everyone was calling for him, suddenly felt like he was lifted high into the air. He still couldn't move because of her paralizing kiss. She took note of this and continued up, through a vent in the ceiling. The vent was very long and seemed like it took forever to reach the end. Finally, they found an opening were a small amount of light shed across parts of the floor and walls. She gently set him down, knowing that he could not walk. She stood back up, and Tails tried to see her face through the dark, but failed to do so. "I demand to know who you are!" he said in a forcful tone. "If I tell you now, you won't trust me afterwards." she said slyly. "You know who I am, so I want to get even!" he continued. She sighed. "You are very consistant aren't you. I supose I should tell you, but promise you'll still trust me after." she replied. Tails thought for a while. "Ok. Fine. I will trust you." he said. "Good, because you'll need me if you want to get out of here alive." she told him. She stepped into the light and Tails gasped. Standing there was a creature like no other. She had white boots with big, pink hearts on them with pink at the top, a black sweat-suit, white gloves with pink at the top, a big pink and white heart on her chest, large, purple wings, blue eyes, blue eye shadow, and white fur color. "Rouge!" said Tails in shock. "Happy now?" asked Rouge. "You got what you wanted, now I get what I want!" she demanded. "Well, what do you want in return?" asked Tails. "I want that gorgeous emerald Egg-boy is keeping away from me and the only way for me to even get near it is if you guys help me." she replied. He should have known. Jewelery is the only reward that catches her eye. "Do you know why the emerald is so special?" asked Tails. "Of course I do! Egg-boy won't stop talking about the stuff he could do with it!" she told him. Something in Tails' head clicked. Maybe she could tell him what he was planning! He thought happily to himself. Suddenly, Rouge let out a cry of pain and fell to her hands and knees! Tails watched her in shock, then he saw a movement behind her, through the darkness. "WHO'S THERE!!!" he shouted in a nervous tone. "Shhhhh! It's ok!" the voice said as an arm reached out of the darkness and covered his mouth. Taills suddenly felt relieved as the figure came into the light. It was Sonic! He uncovered his mouth and put his hands on his shoulders. "What did she do to you? Are you ok?" Sonic said as he checked Tails for any signs of abuse. "Im fine, Sonic!" he tried to reasure him. Rouge slowly got up, but she had to hold herself up against the wall of the vent. "So...Sonic...how did you find out where we were?" she said slowly. "It wasn't that hard! All I did was listen for your voices and I followed them, like you said!" said Sonic as he guestured to Tails. "But you'd need wings to get all the way up here!" Rouge said. "When you can run as fast as me, you tend to forget the rules of gravity!" Sonic replied scarcastically. "Oh! I almost forgot! I have to go get the others!" Sonic suddenly said as he whipped back down the vent and returned with Taila. Then, he whipped back down and returned with Maddie. He continued to do this until everyone was up in the vent. "So where does this vent lead to anyway?" Sonic asked Rouge. "I don't know. I have never traveled by vent before." she replied scarcastically. "Well, we'll never find out if we don't go!" said Maddie. "I will lead the way." said Tails as he slowly stood up. "Hey! You can walk!" said Sonic, exitedly. "Yea, I guess I can!" Tails said. Everyone quickly followed behind him. Rouge dropped behind to the back of the line. "So, Knux, how've you been?" she asked Knuckles. He simply frowned and look away. "Aww, come on! Don't be a bad sport!" she said to him. He just ignored her. "Your no fun!" Rouge said as she crossed her arms in front of her and she walked to the front of the group. Suddenly, Tails had come to a halt and Sonic walked into him, causing Tails to fall over. "Sonic!" Tails said as he pushed him off of him. "Sorry!" he said as he got up and helped Tails up. "But, why did you stop?" Sonic asked. "That." he simply said as he pointed to a part of the vent ahead of them. Everyone looked carfully around the vent, but found nothing to be worried about. "What?" asked Taila. "You see that?" asked Tails, cautiously stepping closer to the side of the vent, still pointing to the same place. "I don't know about you, but I certainly don't see it!" said Sonic scarcastically. "It's not funny, Sonic! This is very serious! If any one of us gets caught by this, then we are all in trouble!" he said with absolute seriousness in his tone. "I still have no idea what you are talking about, Tails. Sorry but I just don't see it!" said Sonic as he shrugged and slowly shook his head. "Uhh!.........Come here." Tails said as he grabbed Sonic's arm and pulled him toward the spot where he was standing. Then, he pushed Sonic's head down so far that he had to bend over to keep up with it. "See it now?!" asked Tails impateintly as he pointed to a spot right in front of him. ".....And...what am I looking at?" asked Sonic, dumb-founded. "You see that little black speck?!" asked Tails, still in an impatient tone. "Oh yea! I see it now!" said Sonic. "Can I see it?" asked Amy. She pushed Sonic out of the way and he fell onto the floor of the vent, creating an unneccesary bang. "Amy! You can't do-" Tails began, but was drowned out by a loud alarm. Everyone looked wildly around to find the scource of the sudden outburst of noise. Suddenly, the vent started closing behind them and everyone ran as fast as they could for a while, but suddenly, the floor broke open and they fell down into the deep, dark pit beneath...everyone exept Rouge. She kept herself afloat by flapping her broad, purple wings. Suddenly, a small noise was coming from below her. It sounded similar to a small hellicopter. She looked down, but found nothing that could cause the noise. She was suddenly shocked and flew out of sight. The small noise was more clear and the object producing the strange noise was visible. It was Tails, and he wasn't alone. He was carrying Taila in one arm, and Maddie in the other. Rouge watched from the ledge she had retreated to. She was surprised that a small fox like himself could lift almost 3 times his own weight! He's strong......for a ten-year old! She thought happily to herself. Tails put them down onto a ledge and rested, himself. "Thank you, Tails." said Taila gently. "Yea, thanks!" said Maddie. "Your both welcome!" he replied. He slowly got up and looked down into the seemingly bottomless pit. "SONIC?!?!" shouted Tails as it echoed down the giant pit. "TAILS!!!!" Sonic shouted back up. "ARE YOU OK?!?!" Tails shouted. "IM FINE!!!! IM COMING UP IN A SECOND!!!!" Sonic shouted. "Everyone, stand back!" Tails said. They had followed his orders and were soon glad they did! As soon as they were far enough back, Sonic shot up and out of the pit, carrying Amy and Knuckles. "Sonic! You saved me!!!!" shouted Amy as she hugged him. "Thanks, Sonic." said Knuckles. "No problem!" he replied, giving him a thumbs-up. "So, where do we go now?" asked Taila as she looked toward the other side of the pit. "Hold on a second!" said Tails as he started flying over the pit. "Be carful!" said Sonic. "I will!" replied Tails as he continued toward the other side. It took him a while to find any sign of the pit narrowing at all. Finally, he found a ledge that was very far away from where he had flown from. He had landed gracfully onto it. "SONIC!!!! I FOUND THE LEDGE OVER HERE!!!!" he shouted across the pit. It echoed off of everything in its path. "DOES IT LEAD TO ANYWHERE?!?!" asked Sonic. "I DON'T KNOW!!!! I WILL HAVE TO SEE!!!!" Tails shouted back. He started down the vent he had just discovered. It had many openings along the way, and he peered down into each of them, until he came across one that caught his attention. He heard voices coming from this opening, so he decided to check it thoroughly. He looked down into the room below, but it did him no good. There was a pipe directly across the opening, so he couldn't see anything. He listened to the voices very carfully, hoping to pick up on what they might be planning. He listened for a while, but found no help in his search for answers. The conversations he had listened to involved everything but what he was looking for. He sighed and moved on, checking a few more openings. He then came to another room at the end of the vent. This one looked similar to the other one they had to run from earier because the vent was closing. He wondered if this room would have the same speck-like security devices as well. He continued through the room, and found a light at the end of the vent at the back of the room. Tails got exited and turned around to go tell Sonic that he had found an exit, but when he turned around, he got knocked to the floor and fell unconscious...
