How Taila met Tails pt.16

Tails stood there in shock at the form the dark, metal entity had taken. There, standing before him, was a figure slightly taller than himself, staring down at him through peircing red eyes, like small, red lazer beams. He had a huge head with long, black, metalic quills and a small, slim body. His limbs were much, much longer than his body and he had huge fists and feet. His shoes were red a with white stripe down the center and a golden buckle at the bottom of both shoes. "S.....S........Sonic?" Tails studdered in total shock. The Sonic imposter grinned evily at him and tightened his fists. He looked like he would attack Tails at any moment. "S...Sonic............W....what are you doing?!" Tails asked as he took a step back. "I can sense your fear towards me. You don't need to act brave, my young friend!" said the Sonic imposter in an evil tone that sounded nothing like the real Sonic. He took a step closer to Tails. "W-WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME?!?!?!?!" asked Tails in fear as he put his hands in front of him, as if to protect himself. The Sonic imposter said nothing, but continued to move closer to him. "S-STOP WHERE YOU ARE!!! I-IM WARNING YOU!!!" Tails said, trying to be brave, but the Sonic imposter simply laughed. "You expect to stop me?!?!?! You must be crazy!!!!! Just let me do what I need to and you won't get hurt!" the imposter finished calmly. "What are you going to go?" asked Tails. "Just step aside and let me complete my mission." he said, taking another step closer to Tails. He had no choice but to stop the Sonic imposter and hope that he was not trying to help his team. "I-I can't let you do that!" Tails said, standing up straighter. The imposter grinned wider and stuck out his chest at him. "Is that a challenge?!?!" he asked. "If that is the only way to stop you, then, yes!" said Tails, sounding braver than before. The imposter knelt down, hands touching the floor, as if he was ready to run, as his faced turned more evil. "Then I hope your ready!!!" he said in such a dark tone, it made Tails very uncomfortable with his decision. He started regreting the challenge he had made, when suddenly, he saw a a silver streak and he was knocked to the floor once again. He felt his head starting to bleed again, as the sharp pain returned. Tails igored the deep gash on his head and stood up. He spotted the Sonic imposter and charged at him. He aimed for him, and swung his tails, but he was gone! Suddenly, he was smashed in his side and fell to the floor. The imposter then walked up to him and knelt down beside him. "One thing you should have known is that I show no mercy toward my opponents!" he said very darkly. He stared down at Tails for a moment, then stood back up and walked toward the containers. He smiled, but was suddenly knocked over. His head hit the container and it shattered. Something small dove into the opening, then dove out before the imposter could turn around to see it. He stood up and whipped around to see who it was that attacked him. There, standing with an unconscious white fox in his arms, was a figure that looked like Tails, but was a golden version with four small birds around him. The imposter stared at his new threat, unsure what to make of the situation. The golden Tails placed the unconscious fox on the floor and smiled. Suddenly, there was a golden flash and a huge crash!!!!! Before the imposter could turn around, he was hit with tremendous force and was knocked across the room! He smashed through the wall, exposing part of the next room. He slowly sat up to look back into the room, but it was no longer an imposter! In its place, instead, was the real Sonic! He looked very bruised and beaten, which made Tails feel bad. ".....Tails! Why did you do this to me?.....I.........I thought we were......friends?" Sonic said weakly. Tails felt awful now! "Sonic! I......but you......you weren't yourself!" said Tails. "Yes......I was.........Do you........care anymore?" asked Sonic. Tails slowly changed back into his regular form and walked up to Sonic. "I do care, Sonic!" he said as he knelt down beside him. "No, you don't.........You don't care about anything but yourself................I shouldn't have rescued you when you were a baby...if I knew that you would do this to me." he said as he slowly shook his head. Tears ran down Tails' cheeks as these words hit him. "......But.........Sonic...................." Tails pleaded. He tried to aide Sonic as he attempted to stand, but got pushed away in refusal. "I don't want your help......You will only cause more pain." Sonic said, as he stood up, using the wall for support. Tails couldn't believe that Sonic, his best friend in the whole, wide world, was blaming him for something that wasn't even his fault! It wasn't like him to do that! Tails stood, tears raining down his face as he stared at Sonic in disbelief. Sonic looked down and closed his eyes. "You were like a son I never had...........I loved you...took you in...raised you as my own..............Is this how you are repaying me.....for everything I have done." Sonic said as a tear ran down his cheek. Tails suddenly fell to his knees and covered his eyes. "IM SORRY, SONIC!!! IM REALLY, REALLY SORRY!!! I DON'T KNOW WHAT CAME OVER ME!!!" Tails shouted as he sobbed hysterically on the floor. His shouting had awaken Taila. She sat up and had no idea what was happening. "Hey, Tails! Why are you crying?" she asked. Sonic looked over at her, then looked back down at Tails. "He went out of control and attacked me for no reason." he said. Taila stood up and stared at Tails. "But.....he doesn't seem like the type of person that would attack for no reason! Especially someone as close to him as you! There had to be a motive behind it!" she said. "Yea, the motive was to hurt me." Sonic said. Taila stared down at Tails, watching him sob at Sonic's feet. "Look at him and try to tell me if you think he would honestly want to hurt you!!!" she said diffiantly as she pointed at him. Tails slowly looked up at him, face red and irritated. He looked down at him and Tails noticed that his eyes were different, somehow. He stopped crying and slowly stood up, staring at Sonic. He eyed Tails curiously, and suddenly felt him penetrating through him, like a light through darkness. "Whats wrong, Tails?" asked Sonic. "Your not Sonic!" he shouted as he wipped a tear running down his face. "See? This is what he did earlier!" said Sonic to Taila, but she was buisy studying him as well. He looked back at Tails and realized that they had figured him out! He suddenly lashed out at Tails and knocked him backward, onto the floor. He changed back into the dark, metalic version of Sonic and walked over to Tails. "You are so gullible!!! You accually thought that I was your friend, Sonic?!?! HA!!!!!!!!!" he said in a dark tone, once again. Tails stared up at him, pure fear in his eyes. "Ahhhh!!! The delicious taste of FEAR!!! Its so refreshing!!!" said the dark Sonic. He bent down and picked Tails up by the fur on his chest. He squirmed in pain as the dark Sonic brought him toward his face. "Do you know what happens when someone gets in my way?" the dark Sonic said coldly. Tails closed his eyes and shook his head. "DO YOU?!?!" he shouted at Tails. "NO!" he shouted back, and at once, he opened his eyes and covered his mouth with his hands as if he had said something bad. The dark Sonic narrowed his eyes at him, then suddenly threw him across the room into Taila and she collapsed onto the floor on impact. The dark Sonic charged after him and picked him up, again by the fur on his chest. Tails struggled to break free from his grip, but it was tightened instead. "YOU DARE YELL AT ME?!?!?! I WILL TEACH YOU TO RESPECT YOUR SUPERIORS!!!!!!!!" shouted the dark Sonic. He threw him across the room again and he smashed through a wall and into the next room. He lay on the floor with his eyes closed, too weak to get up and fight. He heard a small chuckle and slowly opened his eyes to find that the dark Sonic was standing above him, staring down at him with a victory smirk on his face. "Had enough yet?" said the dark Sonic coolly. Tails simlpy closed his eyes and rested his blood-stained head on the cool, metal floor. "I thought so!" said the dark Sonic coldly. "You were no match for me; you never will be!......But I supose you could be of some use to me....now that I have you in the palm of my hand!" he said as he gently picked Tails up in his arms. Tails was too weak to care what he was going to do. He just lay helplessly in his arms as he was being carried off to face whatever the dark Sonic was planning for him...
