How Taila met Tails pt.17

Tails was half concious as the dark Sonic carried him into a room. He gently placed him onto a cusioned table and took a bottle of what looked like water out. He pulled the top off and it fizzed a lot. He then sprinkled some water over Tails' wounds, which felt relieving. Tails felt his body relax as the dark Sonic covered him with the strange water. Although Tails felt very relaxed, he couldn't help but wonder why he was doing this. Why he was helping him on his own will. He watched his wounds slowly closing up and healing. Some wounds took longer to heal than others but by the time the dark Sonic was done, Tails didn't even look like he had endured a single battle! This was impressive! He had never seen or heard of anything like this before! He tried to speak but nothing came out! He put his hands on his throat and looked up at the dark Sonic in surprise. The dark Sonic simply smiled. "Whats wrong? Cat got your tounge?" he said as he laughed. Tails mouthed the words "What did you do" to the dark Sonic. He simply simled again and pulled Tails' arms down to his sides then pushed his wrists into the table. He struggled to break his grip but suddenly heard something snap. He looked at his wrists and saw the reason the dark Sonic had pushed them down. There were metal straps wrapped around his wrists to hold them against the table so he couldn't move them. He then felt his ankles being pushed down and then 2 more snaps. He felt the cold metal against his fur and knew the same thing happened. He struggled against the metal but it was no use. The dark Sonic ignored his attempts and walked over to a big machine. He pushed a few buttons and something made a loud humming noise. Tails' heart was pounding. He was afraid of what was going to happen to him. The dark Sonic walked past Tails and pulled a strange looking helmet toward him. He placed it firmly onto Tails' head and adjusted it to fit him perfectly. He walked back to the machine and pushed a few more buttons. The lights on the the helmet flashed and it started vibrating slightly. The dark Sonic watched carefully and pushed more buttons. Tails felt the helmet drawing his energy from him. A screen slowly droped down above him and showed a type of storage that kept a bunch of small bubbles. A new bubble appeared every half second as the helmet continued to draw his energy. After a few minutes, the helmet shut itself off and a warning popped up over the storage screen saying "Drain Complete". Then the dark Sonic began sorting through the bubbles and picked out things that caught his attention. He put all the bubbles he checked out in a seperate file. After the dark Sonic had finished poking through all of the bubbles, he finally spoke. "You have done very well. I now know everything I need to know." he said as he walked over to him and removed the helmet. He smiled down at Tails and lightly stroked his head. "Perhaps I should put you in to work for our secret agency. You would be very useful there." he said as he stared down at him. Tails tried to talk but remembered that he couldn't so he simply shook his head. "Anyways, now that you have no use to me anymore, I have to......'deal' with you." he said coldly as he slowly walked back to the machine. He stared at Tails for a moment, then pushed a button and a pannel opened up in the ceiling. A long, thin pipe came out of it and began charging a ball of light at the end that was pointing down at Tails. He closed his eyes and pictured the real Sonic's face. He could hear his voice speaking to him. A tear ran down his face as the ball of light charged to the max. It took a couple of seconds for the lazor to activate and right before the lazor could reach him, an arm grabbed him and broke the metal straps on his wrists and ankles. He slowly opened his eyes and found that the arm had belong to Knuckles! He got up and noticed that the dark Sonic was gone! "Hey! Where did he go?!" asked Tails and realized that he could talk again. "Who?" asked Maddie, who suddenly appeared from the back of the group. "The Sonic imposter! Where did he go?!" asked Tails again. "I don't know about 'imposter' but im right here!" said Sonic, who, too appeared from the back of the group. Tails eyed Sonic cautiously. "How do we know your the real Sonic?" asked Tails. "Ask me a question that only 'the real Sonic' would know." he said scarcasticly. "Ok, I will! Whats my real name?" asked Tails. Sonic hesitated for a moment. "Miles." he replied. "Whats my last name?" asked Tails. He hesitated again. "Prower." he replied. "How old am I?" asked Tails. Sonic hesitated for a long time, then looked at Tails in confusion. "See?!?! The real Sonic knows how old I am!!! You don't so your not the real Sonic!!!" yelled Tails. "My memory's workin' really slow right now. If ya haven't noticed, my head is bleeding like crazy!" he said as he pointed to his head. This gave Tails an idea! He walked over to the place where the dark Sonic had got the bottle of mysterious healing water and picked a bottle up. He brought it to Sonic and carefully opened it. It fizzed a lot like the other bottle. "Here, Sonic! Try this!" he said as he sprinkled a few drops of water on Sonic's wounds. They began to heal imidiatly. "Wow, Tails! Where did you find this?" he asked as he watched the wound healing. "The fake Sonic used it on me. See?" he said as he showed them the places where he had wounds from the fight earlier. "Wow!" Taila said as she leaned in for a closer look. "You were badly hurt earlier! There's not a scratch on you!" she said as she lightly skimmed the surface of his fur with her finger tips. This gave him a strange feeling that he never felt before! He felt a powerful rush of relief and closed his eyes. It felt like he was floating in heaven again. He felt weightless and carefree. "Tails." said a voice that echoed on. "Tails!" said the eching voice again. "TAILS!!!!!" said another voice, but this time, it didn't echo and he snaped out of his day-dream and opened his eyes. He was lying on the floor and everyone was looking down at him. Taila was standing above his left side, also looking down at him. "Are you ok?" she asked. Tails just stared up at her with shocked surprise. She cocked her head to the side and looked at Sonic. "Whats wrong with him?" she asked. He shrugged and looked at Tails again. She turned her head to look back at him and after a few minutes of silence, she picked him up. The strange feeling returned and he was floating again. He was able to stop himself from day-dreaming this time and tried to push the feeling away, but instead, it became stronger. He looked up at Taila and started to day-dream again. He noticed this and quickly pulled himself out of it. He suddenly realized that she was looking down at him. He suddenly felt very nervous and his neck became hot. Taila noticed this. "We need to get him out of here as fast as we can." she said. "Ok!" Said Sonic as the wounds had finished healing. "And take that bottle with us." said Taila as she started walking away. Sonic held onto it as he went to the front of the group. "Since your carrying him, you won't be able to protect yourself." said Sonic reasuringly. Taila nodded as he did a thumbs up to her, then he turned around and continued walking. Knuckles ran to the front of the group with Sonic. "Im going to help, too." he said. Sonic smiled and continued walking. They walked for a while before they reached a door. Knuckles opened it and they continued through to the next room. It was another long wallway. They went through it and stepped through a doorway. There was a very, very long hallway with a small light at the end of it. They walked towards it as the light got bigger and brighter. It became so bright that it blinded everyone. They continued towards it, shielding their eyes. They stepped through it and relized that they were finally outside! They felt very releaved to finally be out of Dr. Eggman's crazy, fun-house. "Wait a second!!! Where is the ship?!" asked Maddie suddenly as she looked wildly around. "I don't know!" said Taila. Sonic zipped around, searching franticaly for any sign of a ship. Suddenly, he kicked up a giant wave of snow and revealed something made of wood in the ground. "Wait, what is that?!?!" asked Maddie, who was the first one to notice. Sonic turned and noticed. He whipped around on it, getting all of the snow off of it. It was a giant door. Knuckles opened it and there was a giant drop. It went so deep that the light didn't even reach the bottom. "..........So.............who wants to go down the deep, dark, bottomless pit first?" asked Sonic scarcasticly. Everyone simply stared at him. "Ok, ok. I'll go first." he said as he leaned over the edge to jump. "Are you crazy?!?!?!" said a small but very loud voice. Everyone looked around and noticed that Tails was wide awake. "You can't go down there!!!!! You can't even see the bottom!!!!!" he shouted to Sonic, as the word 'bottom' echoed down into the pit, over and over about 30 times. He suddenly jumped down from Taila's arms and jumped down the pit. "TAILS!!!!!!!!" Sonic shouted as he looked over the egde. The whole group gathered around the edge and peered into the silent, black darkness that had consumed Tails. "Im going in after him!" shouted Maddie as she hopped over the edge after him...
