Finally I post news about the MSI concert at Harpo's, Detroit!

xD Several weeks after it already happened. I went on June 21st.
I realized I never talked about it, so I shall now. :3

MSI played these songs not in this order: Shut Me Up, Straight to Video, Capitol P, Issues, Mastermind, Animal, Tornado, Stupid MF, doges, Prescription, 1989, prick, Evening Wear, Lights Out, Never Wanted To Dance, Pay For It, and there was one song I didn't recognize and don't remember.

I think that's it, but I don't remember.

I went with my friend Ana along with my sister as a chaparone(I probably spelled that wrong), pretty much. She drove us there and isn't really into any of the bands, but she was more than willing to take me to my very first concert.

When we first got there there was a pretty big line already. It was probably about a half-hour before it started. It was raining a little, but we had umbrellas so it worked out ok. The thing I loved about standing in that line was seeing all the different people. So many people with hilarious and insult-worthy outfits, as well as plain awesome looking people.

So we finally get in, and we hit the merch booth before anything else so we don't have to have a very long wait. I bought a blue camo hat for $15 that has about 4 of these little symbols (http://www.reccenter.com/uploads.d/photo/filename/8497/full/skull.jpg) as well as "if", the title of their new CD in a glittery silver. Mmyes. All the shirts were like 25 bucks and we didn't exactly have a fountain of cash with us, so I got the most inexpensive clothing item there. They had CDs, but I'm gonna let my sister buy me if as a birthday present. :3

Next we went to the mosh pit area to pick our... standing places. Ana wanted to be in the pit, so she stayed up there and talked to some people who were there that she knew. Meanwhile my sister and I headed to a wall behind where the pit would eventually be. Since it was my first concert, plus crazy MSI, I wasn't planning on getting injured while I was there, so we stayed behind the pit rather than in it.

After a long wait, Julien-K opened first and sung like 5 songs. It was the first time I heard them, and I liked em. :3 My sister thought the lead singer was hot. xD

After a break of changing the stage scenery, it was time for The Birthday Massacre. I had listened to a few songs by them before the concert, and I liked them. I loved them there, they seemed to really enjoy preforming. I'm not familiar with the band members, but whoever the guy with the fuzzy black/dark mohawk is I love him. He was fun. :3 I'm not completely sure all the songs they played. They played maybe double or a little more than Julien-K did. I can confirm though that they sang Lovers End and Red Stars. My sister liked them the best.

Another scenery break. There was like two screen-type things up during all the other performances, and MSI's was the best. One the left screen, a purple Pacman with black crossbones behind it. On the right, a purple "goth" My Little Pony with much eyeliner and a sign for nuclear stuff on its hip. fracking win.

So it takes a while for them to get up there, but the pit area got massively crowded when they got on. Typical. Jimmy is fracking crazily awesome. I loved him before I went to the concert, but god do I love that man even more now.

WHEN THEY COME OUT, JIMMY STARTS WITH "WE ARE... HANNAH MONTANA!! WE'RE SORRY WE POSTED HALF-NAKED PICTURES IN VANITY FAIR! NEXT TIME, WE'LL MAKE SURE WE'RE TOTALLY NAKED!!" It was great. xD

Now, he did a lot of amusing things but I couldn't tell you what songs he did them during/before/in between for all of the stuff he did.

One of the first of those things was taking a pack of cigarettes and stuffed like all the cigarettes in his mouth since a lot of people were smoking and went something like "I CAN'T SAVE YOUUU!".

During Animal he took out this huge tiger mask that looked like a mascot costume head, and he wore it though the whole song. xDD

And eventually, he started to ask for girl's clothes. Since it's been said by Ana, you can read her journal about that part: http://mukimpo.deviantart.com/journal/18974707/#journal
and that's her side of the concert as well.

And he had a Jimmy puppet and.. yeah, I'm getting tired of recalling so much. xD

Sometime during MSI some douche with a glowstick above us behind the wall had a broken glowstick and I got ravestick juice all over me. The bastard's lucky it didn't get in my eye. It was on my face and stuff. My sister was pissed.

Also, there were dumbasses smoking weed and you could smell it and it was disgusting but whatever, I guess it's to be expected.

After a while my sister was getting tired of the pit and was having trouble breathing and stuff down there, so we left that area and bought some water bottles. I mean, people were in front of us, and hardly had any room to move through the hoard to get to the stairs and so on. So we sat on the edge of the glowy disco-y dancefloor where no one was dancing. Sure we couldn't really see but whatever. Then we moved to a higher place where we COULD see, despite it being quite far back in the place. I missed him taking his shirt off and wearing Ana's skirt since we were in a hard-to-see area at that point. :C

Another thing he did can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=13QfeQN0S8A

So after the last song there was this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2BaoEj0M3SE
xD

If you wanna find any more videos on YouTube there aren't many, but just look up "Mindless Self Indulgence Harpo's" and you'll get maybe like 5 or 6 videos.

Yeah my sister was getting pretty pissed by the end of the show cuz she was tired and we were having trouble finding Ana and stuff. But it worked out fine.

We didn't get to go backstage or meet anyone, unfortunately(not me, anyway). Ana got to meet Steve. :C Either way, I wasn't planning on standing around outside in Detroit after 10 or 11 at night even for Jimmy. NODRIVEBYSPLZ. But in all seriousness, it's NOT a good area to be in late at night. And all that stuff. I mean, there was a 25 cent Adult Video store like right across the street from the venue. That doesn't have to do with violence, but I'm just speaking of Detroit's reputation. Blaahhh. Before we got home we got Burger King and stuff and yeah. That's about it.

And... that's all I really have to say.
Here, I scanned my concert ticket if you're for any reason interested:

Please don't sue me Ticketmaster. I'm just sharing my concert experience. xD
