MINOR SPOILERS ABOUND, AND THERE MAY EVEN BE A FEW BIG ONES. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE MOVIE.

Alrighty, this would be my second movie review! Yaaay, me!
Well, enough of that. I loved the movie so. much. I thought that the actors did a great job (but I haven't read any of the original books or seen any of the shows or anything, so I can't really compare). Watson made me laugh; I like how Holmes always tricked him into coming along. One of my favorite parts in the movie was when Watson, Watson's girlfriend Mary, and Holmes went out to dinner. I also liked how throughout the whole movie you think that this guy is using magic, but then Sherlock comes along and says, "Yeah, it's all really a fraud, because of this, this, this, and this."
The emotional tension between Holmes and the girl he liked (I can't remember her name) was fantastic. I like how the ending wasn't all just "finished"; it left a few artfully placed loose ends for the watchers to ponder. Exactly what any good story should do, I think, because it leaves room for your imagination.
Aaand now for the bad. Sometimes their accent was hard to understand, which made listening to it a pain in the butt. Also, what was with Holmes doing that magic thing the night before they rescued Parliament, and then the next day saying that none of the magic was real? I never really picked up on that...
All in all, I'd give it four out of five stars, having nothing to reference it to. As a stand-alone film, it was great.
