Onime no Kyo

When I drew this, I decided not to follow the style in which Onime no Kyo is drawn in the manga, so he looks a little different (I was experimenting a bit with style). I also colored this picture somewhat like a traditional Japanese woodblock print (the white face reminds me of traditional Japanese theater make-up, and a lot of prints depicted actors and actresses of the day) . I just finished a course in Asian art history, so I guess looking at all those prints influenced me somehow...^_~

I was originally going to color it differently, but the composition is rather simple, so I decided to leave the coloring simple, with a predominance of red. Red is the color of blood and anger, so I thought it fit this character well. That, and it brought out the red eyes well.
