Good pic, Sehkmet's cool. I just think Bast is cooler (goddess of cats). I wont hold it against your pic though. It kinda 'feels' like an Egypt pic.

yep. Tefnut was Shu's twin sister and his wife too. she was the goddess of rain and dew, but was also known to be a solar goddess.. she had a lioness head and was idenified with the greek godess Artmis. tefnut helped to support the sky in the early morning.
however sekhmet was the lioness headed godess of vengeance and she tried to kill off all the humans. she was the other side of Hathor the cow headed goddess. she also punished those in the underworld and symbolised the devouring of the sun. the only reason she didnt kill all humans was that Ra poured beer and pomegranate juice over a bloody battle field and got her serously drunk. she thought it was just blood and became so pissed she couldnt finish the slaughter. to make her happy ra ordered that jugs of wine should be made in her honour. Bast the cat headed Goddess also was a lioness headed goddess but the eygptians got so confused they changed her to a cat. thats why she has a lioness headed beastplate. oh god! im a walking book!
