Panel 3 - High School
Red: I'm the coolest guy here and you know it.
Zen: Whatever you say Red...
This was a request from Paisleyferret on deviant art.
This is based off the rp Zen (blazingsaddle) and I are doing. At this point in the rp, Zen isn't so much into Red anymore as she is with Purple. Though Red seemed more mature this time around, he hadn't changed much since high school. Lol.
~*Self-Critique and other stuff*~
I pretty much lurve the colors and comic altogether. My favorite panel is the first one. The last one is my second favorite even though I thought it wouldn't turn out too good since my ultra fine sharpie played dead and I had to use another one that wasn't as thin.
It was the first time I actually went through with drawing someone with their arms crossed. Before this pic, I'd just give up. I guess it came out okay...
I hate Red's head in the 3rd panel. I also think that the Reds in panel 2 and 3 from the rough draft were better.
Red and Zen were originally facing the front and holding hands. But that didn't quite work out.
Red in elementary looks more like Zim than himself...heh.

I enjoyed making the different stages. Hehe. And it hasn't happened to me either. :(But thank you! I've never been good at coming up with designs myself. I'm a "copy artist" lol! I'll tell Zen you liked her design. :)

First comment! Aw, I like this comic. Isn't it strange how teasing in elementary school can lead to romantic interest later on? It hasn't happened to me, but I see it all around (which isn't that fun on my part...). But this comic is adorable all the same and I especially like Zen's character design. I was never one to come up with cool invader designs, so I eventually gave up. Very nice coloring and composition, too.
