The Outsider

This is my pride and joy from my first semester art class. I worked on this for well over a month, doing the lineart and then carving out every little line you see that isn't black. I then took the base paper and threw India ink all over it until I got the acidic, psychedelic background, then coated the print with black printing ink and stamped it on. After that, I used a glue/water mixture to stick on colored tissue paper and words from the newspaper. All through this, I stabbed my fingers two or three times because I wasn't holding it right, so be careful if you're ever doing linoleum prints.
