A quick scribble that I'd wanted to do more to and turn in to Strata's contest (in the Forums -- go see!), but didn't have the energy or drive to ink and colour.<br />

My mom has a box turtle named Timmy. But more often than not, he's referred to as "His Majesty". He's picky, whiny, tempermental, and has a mean streak like you've never seen. So when Strata had his contest up, I did a picture of the Baron, but also wanted to do one of a box turtle. Eh, maybe next time, then.

StratadrakeMy, he certainly looks big, like he was scanned at about 120~150 px/in and displayed that way. At any rate, a shelled anthro-reptilian is not something you run across very often. I alo notice the little fold-lines on his neck, not very many artists (myself included) consider those when drawing forms.

So, he could have been a contest entry but wasn't, eh... well, my contest is gonna be wrapping up the entry period in a matter of days now (Sunday, to be exact). Although I always hope for more participation, I gotta admit I've a decent total number of entries already, even if they're only from the regulars. I guess I'm just fated to never hit that so-called goldmine of contest premises...

Not that that's a problem in the slightest, people already like the original contest ideas I've been coming up with.
