The coloured version of the fox pic I did.
I don't much like this, as the colouring came out pretty crappy (not good, although not bad eather).
Definatly like the pencil sketch best.
JmasterThis made the pic better. Color is my favorite asset to a pic and you perfected it

EraRillianI don't think the coloring is crappy at all! I think it's very good and if this is crappy for you, then there's no hope for me! (*sigh*)

LiquidOnyxI actually have a stuffed foxes head who's ears are posed back like that, and I usualy use that for refrence, but I didn't for this pic...

StratadrakeHmm... nicely done for the most part, however there are a few things I notice that you should probably work on. Like the ears. The fox's left ear (right side of pic) is off. It seems bent too far forwards to me.

You know ears are generally posed at symmetrical angles relative to the direction of the face, not the direction of the camera, right? So when you have a creature looking at an angle to the camera, the "far" ear should be foreshortened noticeably more than the "near" ear, and you won't see as much of it. It's hard to find a good reference photo to describe this with, since foxes generally hold their ears forwards (plus, they can rotate their ears independently), but here are some I found while on a search:

But enough of that, back to the picture. Y'know, if you made his fur a bit thicker then you might not even have to worry about giving the nudity warning... but that's a gripe I'll always have about furries and anthros, so don't stress over that one too much, either.
