Kovu caught the dangerous scent on the wind once more. Voices filtered over to him from the thicket near the rocks. As the hunters broke out into a run, he spun and roared.
"RUN!" he shouted to his son.
But the three second delay cost him dear. As he turned, he felt the point of the spear dig deep into his side, and he knew it was too late.
