Left 4 Dead Infected Trio

...I've been in a major Left 4 Dead craze lately. XD For those of you who don't know, Left 4 Dead is this awesome survival video game. You play as one of four "survivors" who are trying to escape from other humans who have been mutated from an apocalyptic pandemic. Anyway, I decided to draw these guys as infected. -w-

James is a Hunter, my favorite of the infected. <3 This was the most obvious choice. The Hunter is the most "animal-like" of the infected, preying upon the survivors like a natural predator. Due to the lack of his eyes (which he clawed out upon mutation) he relies heavily upon his instincts. He is easy to identify by his growls and "scream" which he emits upon attacking, which is tearing apart the survivor with his claws. None of the infected could suit James better. <3

Duke's infected was another obvious choice. The Smoker just screamed him. The Smoker is an Infected with a long, whip-like tongue (though, it has been rumored that it's actually his intestines). His tongue can be launched out of its mouth at high speeds, and when it reaches one of the Survivors, it automatically wraps around the target's body and drags him/her back toward the Smoker to be helplessly beaten. Smokers can be identified by their rasping coughs and the clouds of green smoke that hover above them.

Gallows was the toughest to pick out. @_@ He's obviously built in a way so that he could be one of the larger and most powerful infected. A Tank or even a Charger was the first thing that came to mind, but Gallows isn't nearly aggressive to be either of them. I then figured that he would be one of the "non-violent" infected, but there was nooooo way I was gonna draw him as a Boomer (though he does puke like one -.- lol).

I then remembered the Screamer, who was an infected who got cut out of the game during development (which makes me mad because he seemed awesome). Like the Boomer, the Screamer can lure in hordes of infected to attack the survivors. The difference is that he does it by screaming. He was harmless, bound in a straitjacket, but if the survivors got to close, he would run off and summon the horde. The trick was to kill him quickly, which proved to be too difficult, so he was cut. -~- Anyway, the Screamer matched Gally perfectly. 83 Non-violent and loud-mouthed. lol Not to mention being mentally ill, on the darker note.
