Ah realism...one of my favorite styles. Well, I can't say I'm familiar with this particular work of Da Vinci, but I could very easily tell it was a figure before reading your description ^-^. Nonetheless, it looks very well done.<br /><br />
The legs do look short, but maybe that's how the statue looks too...or maybe it's a miniature horse, or a pony or something. Charcoal is a pain in the @$$ to use...I've tried and I hate using it.<br />
