Kilik's scar of deep emotion

They say (at least in certain Eastern lore) that a scar connected to deep emotional trauma is slow to disappear. So it is with Kilik's "V" scar, caused by his dead sister at the moment of her death by his own hand.<br />

Often, in moments of reflection, Kilik absently fingers the scar, recalling the demonic madness instilled by the Evil Seed. Even now, it lies within him, restrained only by the mirrored sash upon his shoulder. And he recalls that this same sash belonged to his sister Xianglian, who gave it up to him that he might live, shielded from the Evil Seed. <br />
<br />
Yet, out of this act of love for this boy she'd loved as a brother, she herself became possessed by the madness and attacked Kilik despite the strength of her love for him. And he, despite being free of the Seed's murderous spirit, was the one who'd landed the final, killing blow in that confrontation. Her thrust cut his cheek; his pierced her heart.<br />
