Well, would you? Take a good look.
That's right, you're looking at the perennial fangirl favorite, InuYasha ... but as a parrot!?
WTF did I do to him?
I felt like making a 'mascot' for a contest in the forums, called "Genus Envy", which was about turning an existing/official character into an animal or creature and drawing out what you think they'd look like.
On the upper left of this drawing you see InuYasha (in his normal state) imagined as a scarlet macaw. And on the lower-right is InuYasha again, in his demonic (youkai?) state, as if he were a green-winged macaw. So if you see him with green feathers on his wings instead of yellow, better stay clear. That's right -- fear the mighty demon parrot!
InuYasha himself is copyright to his creators, but this "parrot" version is MINE. Fangirls, you can't have him.
And don't ask where the inspiration came from.
Medium: Colored & ebony pencil
Time: About 2-3 hours
Scale (full view): 60px/in

Well, I've never seen you draw a straight bird, Strata. This is something new, indeed!
Very nice job on the feathers and the wings. Really captures its Macaw-ness. ^_^
However, the face and beak don't look very much like the bird. Perhaps its because both the eyes and beak colour were modified to fit Inu-Yasha. I don't know.
Still, a killer drawing!
