Qintaar

Description
A random centaur-thingie... or horsetaur... equinetaur... Strataur? Gr, to heck with a species name.
If there's one bone I've always had to pick about the morphology of a traditional (Greek based) centaur, it's the lower body. Or was it the upper body. Or the combination of. I can accept them as a fantasy creature as much as the next person, but whenever I start to think about them, really think about one, I always notice how the tauroid's lower (equine) body is a complete physiology minus the head, which makes the upper (human) torso look an afterthought by comparison. Okay, so the Greeks were weird that way. Glue a set of wings on a horse and you have a pegasus, or so on, but I prefer something with a much more homogenous physiology, a singular appearance.
So, after much pondering the subject and a page full of random sketches, I drew this, my take on a fantasy centaur; in a buck of tradition, his upper and lower body lie in equal proportions to each other.
This character's name is Qintaar, and he's something of a berserker: hot temper, all weapons, and neither armor nor garment to cover himself with. Not that he even notices, though... he was born to be wild.
Media: Colored pencil, mostly
