October, 2000: Also part of my third attempt at drawing distinctly elemental dragons, here are the ones for Ice and Water.
Like the air and thunder elemental dragons, these two were also for a story I've worked on -- not merely dragons but more like physical avatars for higher beings. Shaivos is considered a "he" and Aquaria a "she" despite that their true forms are technically "it"s. And as the elements of water and ice are related, so too are Shaivos and Aquaria considered related. Not mates like Aquilia/Thundros, but more like kin.
Medium: Colored & 0.7mm pencil, eraser, plus minor cleanup on computer
Time: About three hours
Scale: 55px/in

I love how Shaives wings look all crystal-like, and Aquaria's tail looks like it belongs to a sea monster! once again, a very creative concept.
