I just hope you all know how many levels of 'uncomfortable' I had to surpass to draw this. You have no idea. D:

Well, can't say I ain't proud of it, because I am IMMENSELY proud of this. Hooo-yah.
Anyway, well, a kinda paradoxial attempt at perspective. I mean, I was trying to get it so like we were looking DOWN on the character, but the buildings make it so we're on the bottom rising up... >>;
Oh, and the background doesn't quite match, but I did the whole pic (besides initial sketch) in one breath, so cut me some slack, eh?? >>; (Took me a half hour past my bedtime! XD;)
Anyway, I also started to see doubles and swirls about the time I was finishing up inking the buildings, so my lines aren't so freakin' straight. L-Leave me alone. XD;

Otherwise, though... I like it. I like it quite a lot. :3

Done with 005 and 02 Micron pens, ultra-fine tip, fine, and jumbo thick sharpie. :3
Time taken was approx. 45 min plus however long it takes to play the complete Silent Hill 4 OST three times. (I like it, a lot :c )
Translated, a little over 4 hours. :3 Longer than my usual three, but, meh.

...This still looks way better in person...

It becomes so hard to say anything when everything has been said by everyone else already --.-- But I think it bears restating, so I shall:

THIS IS SPECTACULAR!

I think the two layers of perspective make this picture the fascination it is. Because the perspective goes two different ways, but does both of them perfectly, it makes the whole thing look like both perspectives are SUPPOSED to be existing at the same time. It makes you wonder--how is he moving that those two perspectives can be doing that? Or, is it instead how the buildings are moving? Or is that just the way that Golgatha works, that the laws of physics simply do not apply?

You know how I love reading way too far into your work ^.^;

More technically, I really like the linework in this one, especially on his costume and the clouds. The moon looks kind of like the Nightmare Before Christmas moon, too, which has absolutely no bearing on anything but I find amusing ^.^

If I had to criticize one thing...it would probably be the wings on his head. Not because they look bad (it would be easier if they did!) but only because they make him look slightly off-balance. Most of him is very sleek and polished-looking, and the wings are a little too much amidst the beauty of the tattoo and his hair. (I want his hair...*sigh*) Fortunately, the wings look so fantastic and provide such a nice contrast to his sleekness with their beautiful ruffled featheryness that the off-balancing doesn't even strike you unless you study it VERY carefully.

And again, I criticize that only because there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ELSE to criticize in the entire picture. Darn you, Trinity, for making things so perfect!

It is quite spectacular. I figure the scans are better than nothing ... no scan will ever do the real thing justice. Ever. I've had times like that ... the whole seeing double. Like when I stayed up 'til eight-thirty in the morning reading Half-Blood Prince. Because ... I'm a nerd. u_u;

But yes, you definately should be proud of it.
