Whew! Another portfolio piece out of the way!! Only a few left, I can't tell you how relieved I'll be when I'm done with this.

I was in need of something to do for a still life, but was sort of at a loss. I'm not really big on still lifes, I like living things better. But alas, I found myself looking around my room, and this is what popped up first. Actually, it didn't pop, it was already open. But alas, it became my subject matter.

I know this isn't pretty boys or anime or exciting girls in short skirts, but please don't just disregard this. A lot of work and skill went into this just like anyone puts into an anime piece. Besides, it's probably a lot harder than you think it is. Painting isn't easy. >_>

Thanks for looking! Comments, favs, condiments! All appreciated! Feel the love!
littlefoxgurl*stares at the prettifulness* That's downright amazing. Personally, I don't really like still lifes but this one caught my eye. Now, to criticize. I agree with Stainedglass, the handle does seem a wittle bit off. The tiles also bugged me a bit, maybe the perspective. All in all, it's a beautiful piece and it is now on my favorite's list. Good luck on your portfolio!!!

DogssAt first glance, I thought it was a photograph. This is excelent! Perhaps still life is what you are meant to do. And personally...I dont like anime...an artist should develop their own style...not take up one. But that's just me...

StainedglassI can certainly tell alot of effort was put into this. The Japanese script and detail you put into the wood is lovely. ^^ It's a shame there aren't more comments on this. it truly is a great piece of artwork. :D

the only thing that distracted me was the handle, it seems just a bit short and just a tad bit off. :3

Still amazing though~~
