Freedom's just a dream

First of all, I'm very, VERY proud of this piece! :3
Then to the pic. I just had this weird idea of trying to draw my alter ego with wings, and so, I scetched it out. First I was naked just because I tried to make the pose as natural as possible, and I thought I'd add some kind of clothes on later. But, as you see, I thought it looks better like this x'3 My scanner gave it extra shadows and all that, sorry about it. It looks better irl, but my scanner liked the water-it looks better on screen. And yes, the paint is supposed to blend all around, I wanted to give it a bit messy look. :3 It looks more natural like that. The image has a lot of styled things anyway, such as the humongeous tail.
And oh, I apologize for the largeness and smudgyness of the pic D: Uploading to FAC makes my pics very big..

Then to the spiritual role of this image!
So, this cave is that pit where you fall when you're angsty. As you see, I'm chained to there, yet I have my wings and I rise to air with them, which means I still have my hope. I'm looking to the exit of the cave ( = my mental pain), waiting for my time, even though I know it's nowhere near. Waterfall is there to resemble the fact that it's very hard to get out-ever tried climing up a waterfall or those slimy, slippery stone walls around it? Yeah, you quessed it, not a piece of cake. Yet I rise to look at the light, knowing that I'll get to there someday, somehow. :3
