I got bored in class and since my little brothers got me interested in Avatar I thought I'd indulge and sketch a quick image of Katara with some messier hair. This is actually a cropped image since I didn't have time to finish the rest.

This is a really interesting and refreshing portrayal of Katara... she looks a bit self- righteous and smug. :) As other people have said, the bridge of the nose is too far over to the left eye, but other than that, this is a pretty flawless picture-- wonderfully smooth, just enough highlights but not too many, and very expressive-- in all, very impressive. o. i dont like mixin anime with other kinds of drawing styles. i think it violates the anime way. lol just joking. how did u get the shine if the papr is not white? did u use white pencile crayon or something? Um Crazy... The point of doing it on a mid toned paper was to get those highlights in. The noses aren't typically anime, I like to mix american comic art into my style because I hate just having little lines for noses.
