Alvin and the Submarines

Well, this is an idea I had since 1999 when I saw the submarine Alvin. Although I'm not as big as a fan of "Alvin & the Chipmunks" like I used to be, I still had this idea ever since I came up with it.

I remember reading this one line about the submarine Alvin from Ballard's Exploring the Titanic which read, "It is officially named after Al Vine, a veteran oceanographer, but unofficially named for Alvin the chipmunk."

Despite it's unofficial name, I had fantasized about having Simon and Theodore being submarines, but for the last 10 1/2 years I never told anyone about it until Saturday (Jan. 9, 2010), when I told my mother about it as I was drawing this pic.
