Description
This was done as a birthday gift for my school friend. And the cute little (well, not so little) dog in this pic is Cola, her husky dog. I'll be giving it to her tomorrow, i hope she likes it!
okay, i want to apologise for my lack of artwork recently. i've been very busy, so this is my first piece in a while. This was the first picture where i used prisma coloured pencils =) they are brilliant, and so soft to work with. it took me a few trys to get a result i liked, as it took me a while to get used to their texture. however, i still used a black, hard faber castel pencil to go over the fur, and give it texture.
also, the white fur has lost its texture through scanning (stupid scanner!)in the original, there is a lot more colours running through it.
well, please let me know how you think! this would be my first proper picture of a dog, and i'm happy how it turned out =)

its amazing ^^ only thing I would suggest for next time is try to make the picture a little more dynamic .. change the angle up a little bit do one with tongue hanging out something .. rarely see a dog with such a serious look as that.. it is a great job on the fur and eyes and all just looks like it was posed for and I've not met a dog that could sit still long enough for a picture to be drawn XDhalfdemon912 on May 4, 2009, 4:38:11 PM

thank you very much for the comment!ahh, yeh, i probably should have done a better pose. but i was only given a few reference photos from my friend, and this was the only picture which looked reasonable to draw. anyways, i'll keep that in mind for next time =)
