Same here, I thought he was a girl. He is male though because in the much later episodes, he's Hoenheim's (sp?) son. He showed his true form! HAHA! Me like Envy btw!

yeah. in the anime he's hohenheim's son (thus he's a guy). but in the manga he's that giant monster made of corpses or something. so that's probably genderless...
