The conscious realm

Description

This is a painting i did last year... i still have one half to finish on it. I used Hot glue for the cheek bones, parts of the jaw, the noses, and the eye brows, for more of a 3d look, and i also used acrylic paints. The objective to this painting is its the doorway between our consciousness and our subconsciousness. Its at the very moment you go to sleep, or slip into the other part of your mind that you dont truely understand. Its really just a mirror image of the same person, but we usually fear what we dont understand therfore the 2nd half of the painting is portrayed in a 'horror' manor. Any ways i know the clouds arent drifting in all the correct directions but thats something i will be working on while i finish up the 'normal' half. whew...any ways yeh.....thats my painting...comments?

i love the expressions. The tones you've used are really effective in showing these great expressions.

Whoa, that is incredible. The subconcious side is truely scary looking! The way that you painted (or glued) the mottled skin on the chin and jaw bone looks so real. And I think that everyone can relate to the idea, especially anyone who has suffered from nightterrors/repetitive bad dreams.

That's amazing, i love it. I also love the depth you go into while descrbing the textures, and the meaning itself, and what it meant on your behalf. Truly well spoken, and nicely done. FAVES

Yes, the fact that it looks awsome. You must have been through so much to do that.....it sounded hard to me^-^ Of course, I am only twelve, what do I know.... but it looks awsome and I like the message put into it. Most people don't have that kind of creativity to think of that. *faves to the pic and the artist^-^*
