CONTEST: New Year Kiss

Deadline: January 6, 2013 (CLOSED)

Theme: Is there anything better than kissing someone special on January 1, 2012 from 12:00 AM to 12:01 AM for the new year? 2013 is a clean slate for all of us, especially with academics, friends, family, and careers. A small kiss with someone you trust is a good jumping stone to fulfill your deeper resolutions! Draw yourself, your OC, or something that represents you kissing someone/something for the New Year!

Rules:
1. Only 1 submission per user
2. When January 6, 2012 12:00 AM passes, submissions are closed for the contest. We do not take late work, no matter how good you are. :)
3. No explicit sexuality/violence

Scoring Guidelines:

Skill: 40 points
Example: [CLICK HERE]
- You can use crafts, digital mediums, traditional mediums(etc.) to express this theme, but you need skill to make it look good! Whatever style you work with, whether anime or realism, make it synchronize with your idea, and your skill will inevitably show.

Creativity: 25 points
Example: [CLICK HERE]
- Not every New Year kiss works exactly like you planned. Heck, many New Year kisses are surprises from friends or a secret admirer. Would you not want an exciting and not-as-plain kiss? That feeling will hold true for next year too!

New Year Element: 20 points
Example: [CLICK HERE]
- If you draw a kiss between two people, sure, it is a nice kiss. However, a New Year kiss is mixed with a celebrative air with friends/family watching or fireworks and bright colors coming from the back. Show some form of New Year element in your kiss, and you will get these points.

Colors: 15 points
Example: [CLICK HERE]
- Fortunately, New Year is not subjected to specific colors. It can be mixed with the passing Christmas (red & green), red and white festive colors, or even the color of your wine. Whatever colors you choose, it still stands that New Year is a festive and COLORFUL time.

-Putting your winning picture on the site news/main-page (this will be an alternative to those who still do not completely qualify for featured pictures or are too new to be popular)

HECK YEAH, ANIMATIONS ARE ALLOWED! Any artistic format (which is practically everything,, you could draw the entry on your back or make a poem, or sing a song for it for all I care) is fine!

GURL, THAT IS THE SPIRIT! I did not have to motivate you there. ;__; It took me a bit to even understand the anatomy of kissing. I had to look up a whole bunch of references when I was learning, and it was a little awkward when people were watching me. I am looking forward to your possible entry! IT is always nice to have something from you each time! It feels good to see you improve right in front of my eyes.

You know....those times I give are pure estimates. What if I draw must faster or slower than I think? I should really time a piece next time to see. ;__; IT IS SO COLORFUL NO ONE NOTICES THE blue "ugh." NO ONE NOT EVEN MY BEST MUTT FRIEND. *sob* Anyways, the more colorful, just know: the more back-painstakingly long and tedious and horrible it was for me. I sense things will get lazier from here. It is artistic fluctuation.

A nose kiss should be fine. The parameters do state that you don't actually have to have the lips touching (near kisses)!

As long as you paint a good picture that illustrates the atmosphere of something like a new year kiss. ;D
