Well I don't know I don't think I won't be able to because I'm busy all week so I won't be able to draw anything. I'll pass and plus I'm suck at drawing animals.

Dawwww, that is okay! Only if you have time! With your cute anime/manga characters, I would not be surprised if you could still pull off the cute factor for animals!

Go ahead and try it! You clean lineart style actually works well with logoes! I am not sure if you participated before in the previous pheral logo contests.

Hey! Don't you dare feel guilty about anything! Not to sound bias, but you do realize that your time at FAC back in the day really shaped my view of FAC? It is users like you back in the day that even made me want to be a better artist/be a site helper. Thus, you telling me you regret anything about not taking part in FAC is silly. You have contributed more than enough, and contributing even more now is stupendous.

O_O And to think that I've been kind of envious of your work since it is nice and expressive. That's something I have trouble achieveing. I have a lot of problems with bodies/poses/expressions. It's hard for me to picture having any sort of impact on anyone. Maybe because I think of myself as a bad example. I'm the type who starts to practice but then gets depressed because I can't meet my own expectations. Then I don't do anything for a long time. I wish I had your kind of motivation.

I don't own a PS3. It's well out of my price range. LMFAO

This competition is mainly for creativity, so if you are worried about skill level, do not be. It is secretly a creativity contest.

 I gotta enter this!  Quick question.  Can I have all 3 submissions on one post/same paper, or do I have to post them separately?

It is best to upload them separately, so if FAC chooses yours, we do not have to crop/majorly edit the main picture just to get a certain one. Plus, I plan to have 3 submission links for 3 pictures so other opponents will know you submitted 1, 2, or 3 images!

I actually just watched my friend Kewi draw some semi anthro/human-like pheral designs, and they still worked/looked nice, so I will take humanoid-like cats! As long as it will look good on the header!

If somehow Denis still does not like humanoid, the actual concept of the picture could still be used!

Also, scratch what I said about submitting all 3 submissions in 3 sperate FAC pictures. Now that I think about it, it may be tedious for you to have to do all 3, especially if you still get your picture submitted to the approval panel. Thus, submit them in sperate picture or one. It is all up to you!

I cannot wait for your ideas! When someone asks questions, we at least know they are putting effort into it!

I'm thinking about doing a sculpture or short animated GIF....I don't know, though. School's about to start, so I don't know if I'll have the time or patience...
 

I gave people 3 weeks for this contest just to see if they can squeeze it in! Animated gifs are hard for us to place on a FAC header, so it may be easier (for both of us) if you just make a 2D image!

If you do contribute/put some time into, we would highly approciete it! AND EVEN LOVE YOU.

And about those traditional tools something....bleh...what kind does it had to be?

We prefer the submissions to be digital (usually, they are more clear and bright, but that is not always the case), but you can still do traditional designs! As long as your idea and concept is golden, it is good.

I just wanted to note that if your design(s) does win, if it is traditionally or possibly unclean, FAC CG it a little for you. No work on your side! Just draw, think of ideas, and submit!

NO, it is okay! I forgot some people do not know.

CG = computer generated (basically digital work like pictures done mostly with Photoshop, Paint Tool SAI, Paint, GIMP, etc)

Traditional = normal pen, paper, colored pencils, markers, and then just scanning the work as it is (literally the "traditional" or old way of drawing)

This contest does not care what medium (CG or traditional) you use! Just submit the cat designs however way you want! :P

A user can have many creative ideas for how a cat looks on the FAC header. Maybe one design looks good with a pineapple or art pallete. But you also want to add something funny to it, but that one design does not work. Thus, you can submit 2 or 3 designs with different "ideas" for how you want the pheral to look. The more ideas/designs/submissions you give (maximum 3), the more we will consider your work. 

We are really looking at creativity for this contest!

I tried to make it so that even if there is a 1st place, that does not mean he/she will instantly have the logo we want (maybe their skill and cleanness was high enough to beat the other submissions). Thus, 2nd and 3rd place have the chance for their design to be the official design. We will just have to see how creative everyone gets!

If the ideas still do not work for Denis (webmaster), I will just have to draw a lot of designs inspired by your pieces! WE NEED A NEW LOGO NOW!
