PLEASE, BEFORE YOU GO MINDLESSLY FAVING, BE SURE TO LEAVE FEEDBACK ON THIS. I'M TRYING TO LEARN TABLET DRAWING IN GIMP AND CLIP STUDIO AND I WANT TO IMPROVE ON HOW I DO IT FOR FUTURE DRAWINGS!
This was an adopted OC originally sold by @LilacPhoenix a long time ago, bought for me by @GoldLinaric, who I never got around to creating anything with beyond the sketch of this and her alternate outfit. So I chose to give her a try with my tablet and Clip Studio Paint. Needless to say, linearting was a lot less mentally painful, with the right stabilization settings, but figuring out base color and shading was a massive chore! Not only that, but certain functions like resizing, cropping, and other effects aren't possible with Clip Studio. A lot of it is making me question if I can make this method work or if I should try something else, or if it's not worth giving up my old pathing method in Gimp. (Yeah it's cleaner lines but it's super tedious to do it all even for simpler designs) I actually forgot to add highlights to her hair and ended up doing it in Gimp anyway.
This is her alternate outfit, or at least it's just a top change from a white t-shirt with a star on it, to a deep blue wool sweater, for colder temperatures. To be honest, I kind of like this look more.
