Description

My second Kanon fanart. This time I picked Ayu, my favourite character from Kanon.

I know I am supposed to draw chains for the swing but I am too lazy so I just drew two straight rods instead. Also the swing is supposed to be hanging on a tree but I suck at drawing trees...

how exactly do you DRAW that? it loks more like you wouldve used something quite different. youre too lazy to draw chains, when the rest of the picture is amazingly perfect? thats odd to me, but i think it would look better as straight lines than chains.

Why are those freakin' eyes so out of place? They're like, nudged onto the other side of her face... wow, where'd eye proportions go?

Of course, this is probably a style of anime, which I find repulsive, actually. The whole bug-eyed thing and the eyes are just way out of place.

But, here comes the actual drawing quality- superb, wonderful, love the grass and choice of colors, looks like autumn. The folds in her clothing are very well done. Sky is pretty.

Drawing quality- 90/100.
Eye quality- let's not even go there.

That's the problem with Key's art style. If you search for any official artwork by Key, like Air, Kanon, Clannad or even the pre-Key work, ONE, then you will see the exact same style for the eyes.

When I draw fanarts, I want to keep the style as close to the original as possible regardless of whether it looks good or not.
