Random Character Designs

These (low-quality) ideas for original manga character just popped into my head one night, so I decided to do something with them. Hey, I've always wanted to create an original manga...someday. The storyline also popped into my head randomly: something about these two characters, who live in the samurai era, going forward in time to protect this girl (with purple hair ^^;). From what, I don't know. Demons? The Mafia? Herself? (:coughcough:)

The guy in the top-right corner seems, to me at least, a cross between Naruto and Benitora (from Samurai Deeper Kyo), with a little bit of Kakashi (Naruto) thrown in. I have an idea for his story/past (I'll try not to make it too Gary-Stu though ^^;) involving that bandage over his eye. Dun-dun-dun...

The guy in the bottom-left, for one reason or another, makes me think of Samurai Champloo. I don't know why, considering how I've only seen part of the first episode, and don't remember any of the characters... Maybe a Samurai Champloo fan out their can enlighten me...?

Name-wise, I will probably name the guy on the top-right Hanataro, and the other guy Kizeki. l thought I had last/first names as well, but I forget where I wrote them down... :/ Suggestions are welcome.
