This is kinda late so I don't know if you'll see it but when One Piece was translated into English they made it Roronoa Zoro because the R in Japanese is pretty close with the L in English. At least that's what I read in Shonen Jump.MrsRoronoaZoro on May 12, 2005, 1:33:56 PM

I can try to explain. Its depends from where you come what he has as name. Example: Here in Sweden is his name Lolonoa becuz its easiest to say, but (at least I think so.) in USA is his name Roronoa. And here in Sweden are Luffy named Ruffy. So it depends on from where you come. and now i just say: Nice picture!!!!!And cool name!!!!!
And Zoro is best!!!!!
