Round 2 of New Zealand's "Wheel of Fortune". Now, you have NZ$690 as the top dollar amount. Did you ever see a "Bankrupt" wedge 5 wedges, or 75 degrees apart from the other in any other country?

germannameHmm. Well, remember the Million Dollar wedge incident from late 2009, where it was placed next to Lose A Turn? In a sense, only four wedges ($600-Free Play-$300-Lose A Turn) separated two Bankrupts. But for default placements and full-sized Bankrupt wedges, I can't think of any occurrences.

There were some cases for Turkey where you had a (Bankrupt/$10,000/Bankrupt)-7500-Bankrupt (one-peg wide each being in the parenthesis) in one layout as well as another layout a Bankrupt-5000-Bankrupt each two pegs wide. Turkey's version was just plain weird with that Erbil guy. Ugh!

wheelgeniusFirst paragraph, you're talking about the US version? I've seen screen grabs of that incident. I don't see any wedge misplacements these days.

This has me wondering why these wedge misplacement incidents occur at one time, or another. Like, for example, back in the '80s, when the beige $800 was accidently over the $750 instead of $175 in round 1. Or the orange $600 next to the peach $100 in round 2 instead of over it.

germannameYes, I was talking about that. I don't know why this stuff happens either.

But I know one episode from just earlier this season with misplacements that I actually liked. Do you remember that one episode is Hawaii where the Gift Tag and Prize wedge swapped positions? Apparently someone didn't study the Wheel layout well enough to know which purple $500 each should've been on.

Nonetheless, if their default positions are switched next season, I think this would help with those red-colored Prize wedges. That's why I liked that misplacement issue. I don't like it when two wedges of the same value are separated by only one wedge, let alone next to each other (which is technically true of the Prize wedge being placed next to $500). Same thing with color (which they're trying to keep from happening; I'll give them credit for that). That's one reason why I didn't like Pressman's old layout (they could've made the $100 next to Free Spin orange), the other being the absence of $350.
