Chapter 1 - By The Sea

Every night I gaze up at the stars

Remembering a tortured past with too many scars

The warm wind that brushes by me

Reminds me of my true home: the sea

I remembered his face and all of the love he showed

Our future together that would never grow

He kissed me many times, but it didn't mean a thing

He brought me unknowing pain that he meant to bring

He told me that he loved me, but what he said wasn't true

All of the secrets we shared, all the empty dreams that grew

He led me on to truly believe

That our future would certainly succeed

But now, he is gone and I am left with these tortured memories

Of a past that was once real; of a past by the sea
