Chapter 1 - Prologue

Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic[br]
[br]
Prologue[br]
[br]
[br]
Ah, space. How I enjoy it out here, better than the noise of Coruscant, or the heat of Tatooine. It was unique. Each star shines its own light and inspiration, and gives its own skills and uniqueness to the universe. But the Jedi can't see this. They sit back. They will watch innocents die, and everything burn just to avoid open conflict. Pathetic, all of them. All my life I was taught to be peaceful within and believe in the force. I believe I should help those innocents.[br]
[br]
“Revan?” [br]
[br]
I turned to look at the source. “Yes, Malak?” I replied. My apprentice, Malak, was young and still believed and trusted the Jedi fully. The only reason he follows is because I am his master, as he is my padawan.[br]
[br]
[br]
“Master, do you believe it is right? Defying the council like this?”[br]
[br]
[br]
I looked him deep in the eyes “Malak, don't be a fool. The council won't take action, so we must go with the Republic and take action”[br]
[br]
[br]
“Y-yes, master.” I could see the hesitation in his eyes as he spoke, still unsure of what to do.[br]
[br]
[br]
He walked out of the door of the command bridge. A high ranking republic soldier -- a commander, likely -- came in and walked to me. I knew he had the news I wanted to hear.[br]
[br]
[br]
“Sir, we have sighted the Mandalorian fleet. Should we engage?” he looked at me sternly for an answer. All Jedi were seen as wise and powerful figures in the galaxy. I turned to him.[br]
[br]
[br]
“Yes, engage their forces now.” He saluted me and walked out. I looked down to my side to my helmet, then picked it up and placed it over my face, I walked to the door ready to go and fight for the innocent and for what I believed in.[br]
[br]
[br]
“Those fools. The Jedi council are supposed to help, not leave innocents to die.” I suddenly remembered what happened a week ago.[br]

I looked around at me at all the masters. Master Kavar, a powerful Jedi Weapon master, renowned for his skill with a double bladed lightsaber. Master Zez-Kai Ell, a renowned Jedi Master for his double bladed lightsaber, passive and calm nature, and strong sense of justice. Master Vrook, who is known for his grouchy yet cautious nature with the council. Master Vash, known for her kind and gentle nature yet strong resolve. And finally, Master Atris, known for her strong love of the Jedi and all it stands for.[br]
[br]
[br]
They all looked down on me like a beast, each watching me cautiously. They didn't understand my ideas or beliefs. They fear my power and what I am capable of. I have always been naturally talented with the lightsaber and the force.[br]
[br]
[br]
“NO! Revan, we are not going to war just because you say so,” Master Atris shouted.[br]
[br]
[br]
“Atris, calm down. Revan, we cannot just go to war. Too much is at stake just for your beliefs,” said Master Vash.[br]
[br]
[br]
“You were always hotheaded during your training, You need to look at the bigger picture, and not just what you want,” suggested Master Vrook[br]
[br]
[br]
“They are right. You are being too hasty,” said Master Zez-Kai Ell.[br]
[br]
[br]
I turned to Kavar, my best friend and the person I trusted most. He must believe me, he must.[br]
[br]
[br]
“Revan, I am sorry. We can't go to war.” I looked at him shocked.[br]
[br]
[br]
My best friend betraying me. I didn't know what to do. To think, I suddenly looked at all of them.[br]
[br]
[br]
“Fine. If you won't go to war, I will. My padawan and mewith the republic. If you will let innocents die, I won't be part of it.” I stormed out of the room.[br]
[br]

[br]
That day, I was shown how bad the Jedi were. Even the Sith would protect their own. I hate them all. I will show them.[br]
