Chapter 1 - What's Ever Right? and Shadow Drifter

What's Ever Right

As I sit here bleeding,
Staring at the ceiling,
Wondering what will become of me.
Will this truly be my destiny?

I walk the streets alone at night,
People ask me what's wrong, I ask what's ever right?
As I stumble from street to street,
Moving only to my own life's beat.

Falling to the ground,
Proving myself as a drug hound.
I lay there,
Out in the middle of no where.

My body numb and paralyzed,
Out of commission, immobilized.
As I lay there I wonder,
Is this reality, or just bad slumber?

I slowly get up knowing it is all too real.
Knowing not some emotions I could never feel,
The first creature to pass me is dead in the blink of an eye.
Then I sit and take a deep sigh.

It's always been this way,
Killing day to day.
Let me be searching for the key,
To set my self free.

Shadow Drifter

Watching from the shadows with eyes of red,
Making all who stand in her path drop dead.

Moving swiftly and silently through the night,
arousing in you much fear and fright.

Stalking through the cold night air,
Moving about without even a care.

Leaps form the shadows showing full frame,
she has always been the one to blame.

Pelt of black, tip of blue,
you have not the slightest clue.

Fangs of steel,
your sure to be her next meal.

Cold of heart,
she’ll tear you apart.
