Chapter 1 - Prologue
The night was quiet, save for a slight whistle of the wind and a rustle of clothing from a rooftop. A young man was standing there, silhouetted against the ful moon. His cloak billowed around his legs, revealing a quiver at his belt. It was decorated to match the bow in his left hand.
His black eyes were focused intently; they did not move even when he brushed his stringy black hair out of his face. He was staring into the open window across the dusty road. A boy was there, sleeping.
A figure was walking alone on the road below the man. It noticed him standing there, although he did not see it. The figure turned toward the house the man was watching and entered it, shutting the door silently behind it.
