Chapter 1 - Forever

Forever



I sit along the shore,

The cool ocean breeze upon my face,

The splash of salty water on my bare arms.



I watch the sun go down,

Dive into the ocean,

Make a big splash.



I see the stars,

Brighter than before,

Shining down on me.



I can see the heavens,

Looking down upon me,

Blessing me.



I hear the cry of a bird,

I look up and see a great eagle,

Soaring high above me.



It cries,

Telling me to follow,

Follow to a new land.



I race along the sand,

The palm trees fly by me,

I feel like I can soar.



My body lifts off the ground,

In a flash of air and sea,

I am the eagle.



I soar high above the coast-line,

I look down and see the moon's reflection on the water,

It's peaceful.



I feel like I am in a trance,

I close my eyes,

I fall down into the ocean.



I no not of where I am,

Nothing at all,

I feel the spray of the ocean.



I wake up,

To only see that I am in my bed,

It was a dream.



I sit up,

I hear the cry of a bird,

Calling me.

Telling me to spread my wings and soar,

I am the eagle,

Soaring high above the ocean.



I run out the door,

Race onto the beach,

Open my arms.



Feel the salty spray of the ocean on my bare arms,

Feel the cool breeze on my face,

See the moon shining high.



I see the trees fly by once more,

I feel the air whip upon my face,

I am flying.



Nobody can wake me from this dream,

No one ever will,

For it is no dream.



I will stay the eagle,

Soaring,

Flying.



Forever.
