Chapter 1 - Sho's Past

Pfft, hell no I don't own Gotcha Force or any of it's characters. What are you stupid? However, I did invent the "GF Upgrade" which you'll see in 2 chapters. This takes place 4 years after the events of Gotcha force, but only for the sake of making everyone a teenager and not a kid, cause this is still the events of Gotcha Force but with twists on it and from Sho's perspective.

Sho was walking home alone on this, the coldest night he had ever seen. He had never worn a jacket in his life, but for some reason, he never got sick, so he didn't care. He stopped in his tracks, and heard wolves, seeming to call out to him. He stared up at the moon, feeling danger coming his way, just like that fateful day, 3 years ago. He had tried to forget it, but lately, it was all he could think about.


(Flashback)


"Are you sure you'll be okay while I'm gone?" Sho's father said as he hurriedly packed his business-realted things in a suitcase. Sho happily said
"Of course, dad. You can count on me!"
The father smiled at his child, he had raised him for 11 years after his mother died during childbirth. He wanted to think that everything was alright, but something was nagging at him. So, the man patted his boy on the head, and said
"You bet I can count on you, Sho."
Sho's father opened the front door and began to walk out, turning back to see his son smiling and waving him goodbye. Sho closed the door on him slowly, and the man turned back around and immediately saw 5 tiny little things that looked like toys. Each one was dressed differently, but each resembled a different kind of ninja, but they all had glowing, red eyes. Sho's father was shocked at first, but caught his breath and said to himself
"Oh, it's probably just the neighbor kids' toys in my yard. They shouldn't have these sharp objects."
He was right, as the toys had very sharp weapons on them. One had long claws, another had a giant suriken on it's back, two of them, who looked the same, had small short swords, and the last one had a little cross bow on it's left arm. The one with the claws narrowed it's eyes and said
"We are not mere toys."
The man was surprised by this, hesitated and asked
"You... You can talk?"
The twin toys took a few steps toward him at the same time and spoke at the same time as well
"We are Gotcha Borgs, from the planet Megaborg. We have been sent on a dire mission, and we require your help."
The man held his hand on his forehead and said to himself
"Wow! Aliens from another planet. Well, what can I do for you...Gotcha Borgs, was it?"
The gotcha borg with the crossbow aimed it straight at the father's face and said
"Hold Still."
The borg then fired a few arrows off his back, all of them tied together with thin wire. They all flew past him, tightening him around the wires and launching him backwards towards a tree. The arrows tied him to the tree and he couldn't move his arms. He struggled to break free, but it was clear to the borgs that his resistance was futile. Suddenly, Sho came walking through the front door, carrying his father's coat saying
"Hey dad, you forgot your-"
Sho stopped in shock when he saw his father tied to the tree and the borgs staring at him with their soul-less red eyes. The one with claws looked to the twin borgs, and nudged them in Sho's direction. The twin borgs ran swiftly up to Sho, and both ran up Sho's legs and eventually reached his shoulders. They aimed their swords at his neck as they both said
"I'm afraid you can only watch now, Sho."
Sho was scared out of his mind, as he looked at his father, who yelled to him
"Sho! Are you alright?"
Sho replied solemnly
"Yeah, I'm all right. What's happening, dad?"
His father was about to speak but the borg with the shuriken yelled to him
"Silence! It's time for you to understand the power of Gotcha Borgs. (The borg turns toward Sho and continues) You, Sho, You will learn the power we Gotcha Borgs control. We've been sent to show you ourselves, the hard way."
The borg with claws, teleports and reappears on top of Sho's father's right shoulder, and Sho's eyes widen as he asks
"Wait, What are you going to do to my dad!?"
The borg looks at Sho, and answers
"You will not be able to stop Galactic Emperor. This is your warning."
The borg then slits Sho's father's neck and blood pours out as Sho watches in horror. Tears stream from his eyes as he sees his father slowly die and choke on his own blood. The borgs reappear in a line in front of Sho, as he falls to his knees and holds his hands over his face to drown in his own sorrow. The borg with the claws, clearly the leader, tells Sho about the future
"Sho, In 3 years time, the Galactic Emperor will come to take over the world and collect his rogue minions. You will recieve one and become a member of the Gotcha Forces who will rebel against us. Your time to become strong has come."
The borgs then formed a circle around the brog with the claws, and he teleported them all away. Sho brushed the tears off his face and stopped sniveling, he looked to the sky and was wearing a grim face on and repeated
"Time for me to become strong."


(End Flashback)


Now, 3 years later, Sho arrived at a large, dark blue house, and used his key to open the door, cringing at the noise. His key had never been this loud before. He began to think to himself, as he often does
("I was traumatized by my father's death, and I was left all alone in the world. That was, until I found my gotcha borg those death borgs wer talking about.") Sho sat down on a large, soft couch, but it was fairly uncomfortable to him. He didn't even bother to turn on the light, and began to think about when his partner borg first arrived, a year after his father died.


(Flashback)


Sho sat quietly on his porch again, watching the kids in the street play joyfully and happily. He saw a kid with a red and white outfit on running towards Safari town's river chasing a shooting star. He thought that the kid was crazy but didn't care. Sho sighed and looked up, widening his eyes when he saw a shotting star falling from the sky right towards him. Sho jumped back to avoid it, covering his head as the meteor crashed in his previous spot. After a few seconds the meteor cooled and seemed to open up. Sho heard this, and slowly turned around to see a flying red and black borg in his face greeting him solemnly
"So it's you. well then, Congratulations, you've been chosen."
Sho, clearly surprised, asked
"Chosen!? I choose what I want to do, beat it."
The borg looked straight into his eyes, and they felt the connection as Sho realized what he was talking about and stated
"You...You're one of the rogue borgs."
The borg nodded and put out it's tiny hand, saying
"Yes, I am Garuda. It's a pleasure to meet you."
Sho was careful and shook its hand. Garuda continued
"I have something for you in my capsule."
Sho asked
"Capsule?"
Sho looked behind him to see the meteor shining a light from inside. Sho stood up, and Gardua moved out of his way. Sho slowly walked towards the meteor with caution, and looked inside to see a small rectangular box. He grabbed it, took a long look at it and asked
"What is this thing, Garuda?"
Gardua responded
"That is a Gotcha Box, it will allow you to hold many other gotcha borgs to aid you in your battles, and it also has some mysterious latent powers."
Sho saw the light brighten and a hologram of a borg that looked like Gardua with a different color scheme came up. Sho asked Gardua
"What's this? This borg looks like you."
Garuda answered
"I've brought along a few of my fellow fighters. What you choose to do with us is your choice alone."
Sho thought about this, and knew it was too much for a young boy to handle. That's why he was chosen to be a part of this war, he needed to become stronger. Sho agreed and said
"Let's start training, Garuda."
Garuda nodded, and Sho began to run towards "The Pit", the local skate board park, and Garuda flew after him.


(End Flashback)


Sho began to hear a female voice call to him from upstairs
"Sho, is that you? I have to talk to you about something."
Sho rose from the couch, calling back
"Okay, I'm coming!"
Sho walked towards the stairs, and walked up them thinking to himself
("But I'm not alone anymore, I have someone to live for.")

Wow, I'm turning into a real writer, and I'm being real serious about this too. and if you don't believe me about Sho's father being killed, here's a wiki entry to prove it:
"There are very little official statements about him, but there are many clues (and some gamers consider proof) in the game that suggest his father was killed by Gotcha Borgs."
So take that! Anyway, I bet you're wondering who that girl upstairs was, you'll find out next chapter.
