You are my love
My shadow
The demon that haunts my dreams
The feeling of comfort
Yet the evidence of shame
You are my proof of sanity
Yet I have gone insane
The protector of all that's good
And evil it's self
You guide me when I don't need you
And you're lost when I do
You brought me all my glory
But just as quickly ripped it away
I could never truly find you
Even though you lay right beside me
My sole is tormented by you
The very thought or even a glimpse
Ripped into pieces
For ever more emotionally damaged
