before we start since your not familiar with Bleach i'll tell you a little about soul reapers.
Soul Reapers live in a world called the Soul Society which is slit in to two different areas. Seiraitai and Rukon Gai.
Soul Reapers collect the souls of the living and bring them to the Soul Society where they live in Rukon Gai, if they have any special spiritual powers they get moved to the Seiraitai and become soul reapers.
Once in the human world they cannot be seen by humans, only some people who can see ghosts can see them.
Soul Reapers also kill monsters known as hollows which are evel souls that got transformed in to horrible monsters, the hollows eat the souls of their relatives as well as souls of the living and dead.
