yes, I call myself an author too. I'm halfway published in Norway, got a short story in a magazine earlier this year. And I'm working on three different novels

books are awesome^^ The Phantom of the opera novel is really different from the movie, if you're referring to 2004 version.

many classic ones ^^ Like The Phantom of the Opera, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Les Miserables, Dracula, Frankenstein, the three musketeers, the Lord of the rings and so on :3
And many more modern ones like Phantom (Susan Kay's story about the life of the phantom of the opera), Phenomena,the amazon tilogy, and some fantasy books I've forgot the titles of x3 and many many more
