Tragedywasmile

Hi, My name is Sally but most of my friends call me Sal. I am 34 yrs old but will swear to be 29, probably for the remainder of my life. I am married and have 3 gorgeous kids and a 9 yr old sister that I am raising.

I am new to the artworld, new to drawing. Everything I know or have done is self taught. Up until I was 31 I couldn't draw to save my life but when I was 29 I was hit head on by a van going 95mph and suffered a brain shear (that is where your brain slams up against your skull, back & forth) and was in a coma for 8 weeks. I had to learn how to do everything over again, including how to hold a pencil again and how to write. My handwriting was atrocious. My youngest, who was 2 would ask me to draw him pictures and suddenly I could draw!

I am still learning and certainly have a ways to go!
