Hi all! My name is Maria and I'm from Santa Monica, California. I am 59 years old and I have a large family, a husband and three grown children, as well as a dog and two cats. We all live in a big house near the coast.
I like to run in the morning, do yoga and travel to the mountains, I often attend jazz concerts that take place almost on the ocean, these are very atmospheric events, I found many friends there.
In my free time, I enjoy studying the personal diaries of famous historical figures. Often, when traveling to different cities and countries, I set aside a free day specifically for going to historical museums, where I can spend the whole day in the personal correspondence section. I think this direction is very romantic.
I was educated at one of the best universities in the US - the University of California at Berkeley. There I studied history and received a bachelor's degree in historical science (the direction of political history). After that, I completed my doctoral studies and received the degree of Doctor of Historical Sciences. As a student, I was a staff correspondent for the student newspaper The Daily Californian. After graduating from university, I took up writing essays for students, taught a course in political history at a summer history camp, and also mentored many students in writing dissertations and other scientific papers on political history.
In our time, the history of a new world is being created. Every day there are many events that are important for the development of mankind: new laws are written, new historical ties between countries and peoples are established, many scientific discoveries are made. I think that in a world full of professional politicians and diplomats it is very interesting to live and watch the world change for the better. After all, only the great deeds of great people can really get into history.
