Done for the "Water" prompt, for my Sheik fanart100 claim on LJ. Slowly chipping away at that table.

AU-Sheik, as always.

Forced myself to attempt some foreshortening, but uh...mixed results. Also tried doing the "highlights" first, rather than midtone then shadows. Hopefully an improvement.

Foreshortening is one of the hardest things to do in my opinion when it comes to drawing. And she looks great. I think it came together amazingly well!
I'm not quite that good yet, but I hope to be doing stuff like this some day. This is a great inspirational peice for other aspiring artists.

OOT spoilers below.

Oh, and about Sheik and his/her origins, the game isn't very clear as to whether he/she is Zelda in disguize or meerly an alter-ego of Zelda. The game doesn't fully explain how she could dress and make herself look so masculine. Perhaps she actually transformed into a man, or this man was simply another side of her. I believe that it was just Zelda in fancily padded clothing to make her pass off as a guy.
